Bin jetzt zwar selber nicht so der grosse Fan der Reihe, aber die Ankündigung von vor ein paar Tagen kam doch ziemlich überraschend. Der Release steht zwar noch in weiter Ferne, und es sind nicht einmal Plattformen bekannt (wobei ich jetzt mal ganz gewagt von einer Veröffentlichung mindestens auf der PS5 ausgehen würde... ), aber trotzdem: Kingdom Hearts IV kommt, die noch sehr sehr SEHR frühe Version wurde in der Unreal Engine 4 gebaut, demnächst steht aber ein Wechsel auf die Unreal Engine 5 an.

Die frühe Ankündigung erfolgte übrigens aus Angst vor Leaks ... mit anderen Worten: Vor 2024 kommt das Teil sicher nicht und ob man in diesem Jahr überhaupt noch irgend etwas anderes als die vorberechneten Szenen im Trailer (nach den beiden Mobile Game-Announcements.... * Gähn * ) zu sehen bekommt, wage ich an dieser Stelle ebenfalls einmal zu bezweifeln.

12.04.22 - Square Enix hat Kingdom Hearts IV früher als geplant angekündigt, weil man Angst vor Leaks hat. Das sagte Tetsuya Nomura auf dem Kingdom Hearts 20th Anniversary Event.

Deshalb werden die Fans jetzt eine ganze Weile nichts mehr über das Spiel hören. Auch auf der E3 wird Kingdom Hearts IV laut Nomura nicht zu sehen sein. Die E3 wurde mittlerweile aber abgesagt, so dass er wohl ein Showcase von Square Enix oder eine vergleichbare Präsentation im Sommer 2022 meint.

Nomura will die Abwesenheit von Kingdom Hearts IV auf diesen Events bereits jetzt ankündigen, bevor die Leute überall im Internet voreilige Schlüsse ziehen oder Gerüchte verbreiten. Release: TBA (Europa)
