Der Titel ist für mich ein Day-One Kauf. Habe mich direkt verliebt.

Wird bei mir sicher auch ein Day One, es sieht fantastisch aus.

Es sieht wirklich ganz gut aus. Vermittelt sogar ein wenig Limbo-Vibe. Aber EA... ich habe wirklich Angst, dass die das verbocken. Microtransactions oder Season Pass passen einfach nicht in ein solches Spiel. Ich hoffe, EA knüpft an die Phase von 2007/08 an, als in einem kreativen Schub Perlen wie Dead Space oder Mirror's Edge entstanden.

Bei Ubisoft denkt man doch dasselbe, dann kommen Spiele wie Valiant Hearts oder Grow Home, welche aber auch gar nichts mit der normalen Unternehmensstrategie zu tun haben.

 

Ich denke, das kommt schon gut. Ist ja auch ein EA Partners Spiel.

Fand nur schon den Entwickler, der das Spiel präsentiert hat extrem sympatisch (obwohl oder vielleicht auch deshalb weil er hypernervös war ). Jedenfalls hat man ihm angemerkt, dass er sich riesig freut sein Spiel zu präsentieren und nicht einfach irgendwelches "Epic/Awesome/unlimited possibilities"-Gedöns von sich gab.

Mich erinnert es extrem an LittleBigPlanet. Sieht herzig aus, reizt mich aber nicht sooo sehr. Bin gespannt, ob sie genügend Abwechslung reinbringen.

Der Artystyle gefällt mir - Realismus statt Basteilei a la LBP. Einzig das Wesen gefällt mir nicht so - es sieht ein bisschen wie ein Teufelchen aus und das macht es für mich weniger sympathisch... Mal im Auge behalten. Könnte dem Kleinen auch noch gefallen.

EA and Coldwood Announce Unravel Release Date

 

Make way for Yarny! Coldwood Interactive and Electronic Arts today announced Unravel will be available worldwide on Feb. 9, 2016 via digital download on Origin for PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One. The Unravel trailer released today features new gameplay of Yarny—the tiny, new character made from a single thread of yarn—embarking on an adventure to reconnect the bonds of love.

 

“Gaming is a powerful platform, able to inspire players and touch their hearts. With Unravel, we’re hoping to do just that,” says Martin Sahlin, Creative Director at Coldwood. “Yarny’s quest is to mend broken bonds and the yarn represents the love and connection between people. Along the way, we’ll test your cleverness with environment-based puzzles inspired by our home in Northern Sweden.”

 

Unravel is a game all about overcoming obstacles, both big and small. Using Yarny’s small thread and big heart, players will traverse through the breath-taking, lush environments of Northern Scandinavia in this unique physics-based puzzle platformer. Some challenges are simple, like using Yarny’s thread to swing across a gap, or rappel down a tree. But others are more complex, and players will need to use Yarny’s thread in clever and creative ways to find the path forward. Whatever the case, no feat is too big for Yarny. Along the way, unlock a heartfelt story about love and longing, and the ties that bind, with Yarny as the red thread that runs through it all.

 

Unravel is developed in Umeå, Sweden by Coldwood Interactive and will be available for $19.99 in North America. EA Access members can play Unravel before the Feb. 9 release, and get a 10% discount on the full game, only on Xbox One.
