Toxic Twin Geschrieben 3. Zitieren

radiant Geschrieben 4. März 2014 Autor Geschrieben 4. März 2014 Driveclub appeared to be dated briefly last night by the Evolution Studios’ official Twitter feed. The post was quickly nuked, suggesting that someone hit the button too early. The tweet was spotted by PlayStation Nation user 100mph, who took a screen-cap of the post before it was deleted. It read, “Mark your calendars 9.4.14,” and it’s worth noting that Evolution is a British studio so this reads April 9, now September 4. The tweet follows claims from Official PlayStation Magazine Italy, which earlier stated that Driveclub will launch in June.

März 2014 Mit April wird's wohl nix The energy surrounding the upcoming PlayStation 4-exclusive racing game Driveclub has largely gone from excitement to skepticism. Driveclub was one of the first PlayStation 4 games revealed, and comes from Sony-owned Evolution Studio, a developer that not only understands the racing genre (it made its name on the MotorStorm franchise), but a developer that undoubtedly had very early access to PlayStation 4. Revealed as a launch title, Driveclub was unceremoniously delayed on the eve of PS4’s western release, creating questions as to what’s going on with it. We got a chance to speak to Sony’s Scott Rohde – one of the men in charge of Sony’s family of first party studios – about the status of its phantom racing game. “What I will say is that it all comes back to that fundamental principle, and that’s that we want to build great games,” Rohde said. “And we really don’t want to release a game before it’s ready. And sometimes, this happens in the normal course of business, where we think we’re on track to deliver what we think is going to be a great game, and when we get closer, we realize that we’d be doing everyone a disservice if we shipped it before it was ready.” “So, I think that at PlayStation, perhaps more than at other places, we’re willing to kinda eat that [cost],” Rohde continued, “and go back to the drawing board and make sure the game is great before we ship it. And that’s what’s going on right now with that game.” When asked about when it’ll launch, Rohde said, “We’re not announcing any specifics on that yet.” When pressed on if it would still come out sometime in 2014, Rohde refused to say, though Sony PR stepped in to say that we’d get more details soon. http://www.ign.com/articles/2014/03/10/sonyas-gone-aback-to-the-drawing-boarda-to-make-driveclub-agreata Zitieren

radiant Geschrieben 20. März 2014 Autor Geschrieben 20. März 2014 (bearbeitet) http://www.gamespot.com PS4-exclusive Driveclub did experiment with virtual reality, but that's not why it was delayedPresident of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida says those rumors are "totally not true"; Evolution Studios not working on Project Morpheus at all now. The delay of PlayStation 4-exclusive racing game Driveclub to spring 2014 had nothing to do with the fact that developer Evolution Studios was experimenting with a virtual reality version of the game. PlayStation president of Worldwide Studios Shuhei Yoshida told GameSpot today that rumors to that effect are false. "There's a rumor about the reason of the pushback of Driveclub was to make it Morpheus compatible...that's totally untrue," Yoshida said. Yoshida also discussed the virtual reality version of Driveclub that Evolution Studios made using what is now known as Project Morpheus. When trying it for himself during a trip to their UK office, he said it worked well when driving at low speeds. He explained that he was able to look around the world and enjoy its scenery. However, when he put his foot on the gas, so to speak, the experience fell apart and he began to feel the effects of motion sickness, he said. "It's kind of difficult and sickening," Yoshida said about his experiences at this level. Right now, Evolution Studio is "not working on Morpheus at all," and is instead putting "all the effort" into finishing the game. Explaining the Driveclub delay in October 2013, Yoshida said, "the extra time we're giving the team means the visuals and overall experience are only going to get better. We can assure you that it will be worth the wait." Gimme dat releasedate bearbeitet 20. März 2014 von radiant Zitieren
