Toxic Twin Geschrieben 11.
Zitieren
ushan Geschrieben 11. März 2016 Geschrieben 11. März 2016 Jedenfalls viel innovativer und mit unendlich viel mehr Gameplay als The Order - was gehetzter, interaktiver Komplettmist war. Da verstehe ich Toxics Argument überhaupt nicht. Zitieren

März 2016 Remedy: http://www.vg247.com/2016/03/22/quantum-break-dev-responds-to-fan-uproar-over-720p-resolution/ Recent analysis of Remedy’s Quantum Break revealed a 720p resolution output for the Xbox One version. Although the game’s use of anti aliasing and other graphical effects is impressive, the relatively low resolution left a few Xbox One owners upset. With all signs pointing towards this also being the case for the final code, due for release next month, Remedy has issued a statement to try and explain the complex process the studio went through during development, and how it ended up with this resolution. “Quantum Break’s 1080p output is a temporal reconstruction from four previous 720p 4xMSAA frames,” the developer told Inquisitr. “This approach gets us high pixel quality in combination with complex shading and effects, allowing us to achieve a cinematic look. However, varying sample counts between passes and temporal upscaling makes talking about resolution, as it is traditionally understood, complicated in the case of Quantum Break. “Since the start of “Quantum Break’s” development, the most important thing for Remedy and Microsoft has been delivering a compelling gaming experience with superior artistic quality. This is what Remedy is renowned for. We’re confident that we have achieved this, and can’t wait to hear what fans think on April 5 when they play the game.” Und ja es sieht trotzdem gut aus. Eurogamer: UPDATE 22/3/16 9:00am: Remedy has released a statement explaining resolution and image quality on Quantum Break. It verifies our initial hypothesis on how the game produces its presentation - a 720p base resolution with temporal reconstruction - but adds new detail, such as the addition of high quality multi-sampling anti-aliasing to the mix: "Quantum Break's 1080p output is a temporal reconstruction from four previous 720p 4x MSAA frames. This approach gets us high pixel quality in combination with complex shading and effects, allowing us to achieve a cinematic look. However, varying sample counts between passes and temporal upscaling makes talking about resolution, as it is traditionally understood, complicated in the case of Quantum Break. Since the start of Quantum Break's development, the most important thing for Remedy and Microsoft has been delivering a compelling gaming experience with superior artistic quality. This is what Remedy is renowned for. We're confident that we have achieved this, and can't wait to hear what fans think on April 5 when they play the game." In effect, we are seeing the technique used in Alan Wake on Xbox 360 as an initial basis - a sub-native resolution paired with excellent 4x MSAA. But crucially, on top of that, visual information from four previous frames is integrated into the current one to increase perceived resolution - explaining how standard pixel counting on static scenes produces a higher result. We'll have more on this, along with a deeper look at Quantum Break's remarkable visuals in our upcoming launch coverage.

It's flimsy and awkward, with insta-kill moments in place of any mechanical elegance, though it does excuse some astounding set-pieces as you explore moments of instant violence frozen and flittering in on themselves. How a tiny studio invented Diablo, and the action RPG 'All the technology we built was based on a single screen grab from X-Com.' How a tiny studio invented Diablo, and the action RPG An explosion in a university grounds, say, or a cruiser ship crashing noisily into a bridge; at these points there's a deliciously perverse fetishisation of twisting metal and shattered glass that would have done dear Ballard proud, and a phenomenal visualisation of it all, told in countless particles and streaks of expressive light. In these moments of stylistic muscle Quantum Break is at its absolute weakest as a game. Conversely, it's where it's at its strongest as a spectacle. It's as a spectacle that Quantum Break really triumphs, a showcase of excellence on Remedy's behalf as it creates an experience that's aggressively handsome, delivered with great visual flair. When those firefights break out into noisy showers of sparks, pockets of fractured time and splinters of scenery, Quantum Break shows the magic that can happen when you give a handful of demoscene veterans a Hollywood budget. Scratch away at that and you've got a watchable TV series wrapped around a focussed and competent game, but Remedy's keen sense of style manages to elevate Quantum Break to something just about worthwhile. Maybe it's because of how eccentric the whole enterprise is. There's never been anything like Quantum Break, and it's hard to imagine there ever being anything like it again: more often for better than for worse, Remedy's strange hybrid feels like an adventure out of its own time. Es wird schon als das Xbox-One-The-Order bezeichnet . Zitieren
