- Death Stranding: Offenbar 4k und Open World, dazu folgende "Beschreibung":

He's offering a future in which players are connected by a strand or rope-like element instead of hitting each other with clubs. Okay."

Kein Bild- oder Videomaterial

Hideo Kojima has talked a lot about his new game, Death Stranding, since leaving Konami, and during Sony's media briefing this morning he talked about it again, but this time with a new snippet of information.

According to the Metal Gear creator, Death Stranding is in the action genre, and it's an open world with "a degree of freedom". "You can enjoy the story at the same time", Kojima said, and "there are some online elements".

He's not giving away much, is he?

Kojima added his team now has an office, and Death Stranding now has a game engine (we've heard whispers it uses the game engine behind Media Molecule's new game, Dreams), but the project sounds like a long way off.

Kojima also displayed the image, below, while talking about Death Stranding. Observers reckon they know who each of the characters in the image are: from left to right: Guillermo del Toro; Norman Reedus; Hideo Kojima; and... Mads Mikkelsen?

Neuer PS2-Klassiker:

PS2-Klassiker Red Dead Revolver in Kürze erhältlich

Graphics updates for PS4 Pro will be free

Since the official announcement of the PS4 Pro, we’ve been told that certain PS4 titles will benefit from PS4 Pro enhancement.

The feature will upgrade the visuals so that when you pop them into your PS4 Pro they’ll look amazing on your 4K telly. The list of titles with built-in PS4 Pro support includes games that were released prior to the console’s announcement that can get a boost thanks to developer patches.

The patches will be free, which Sony needed to clarify after Kotaku featured a segment of an interview with Sony Interactive Entertainment’s Masayasu Ito translated from Japanese that indicated that devs could charge for these updates.

In a statement to GamesRadar+ Sony said they “will not charge consumers for patches”.

Masayasu Ito just got the wrong end of the stick it seems.

:nixweiss:. Habe da jetzt nochmals nachgefragt.

Siehe Horizon 3-Thread :cookie:..

http://www.hdtvtest.co.uk/news/4k-vs-201604104279.htm

For HDR, the industry is considering 5 nits (cd/m2) to be a desirable surround luminance level.

5 cd/m2 is very dark, roughly the amount of light generated by five lit candles; any switched-on room lamp is likely to exceed this figure. With its usage pretty much restricted to a dark room (not dissimilar to 3D if you think about it), 4K HDR Blu-ray is a niche format that may become even more niche, although in fairness most video enthusiasts would do their critical viewing in a dimly-lit environment anyway. It will be interesting to see if HDR broadcast can succeed in the average living room which is typically not light-controlled…
